Frequently Asked Questions

Thinking about placing an order with Graphics Center or curious about our office in general? Here you'll find the answers to our most-asked questions!

  • What services do you provide?
The Graphics Center specializes in marketing materials for student organizations, academic departments, and administrative offices at USFCA. These include, but are not limited to: posters, flyers, social media posts, logos & branding, merchandise (such as apparel, graduation stoles, etc.), TV screen ads, brochures, and newsletter ads. Please email us at usfgraphicscenter@gmail.com or fill out the "Other" section in our order form's "deliverables" section to see if we can accommodate your request!
  • Will the Graphics Center print my posters/flyers/merchandise/etc.?
Our office only offers graphic design services; it is up to the client to produce the design physically. Unfortunately, we do not print the designs we create for clients. Student organizations can email Student Leadership and Engagement (sle@usfca.edu) to inquire about getting their posters, flyers, and other printed materials printed from CopyMill, as well as get apparel produced by CustomInk and other approved vendors.
  • How do I place an order?
All projects must be submitted through our Design Order Form to be considered. If you inquire with us via email, we will redirect you to the form. A special request form for weekly graphics for the SF Foghorn can be found here. (SF Foghorn staff only)
  • What's the pricing for a Graphics Center project?
All CSOs (ASUSF Senate, CAB, College Players, ASUSF Voices, SF Foghorn, USFtv) and ASUSF sponsored undergraduate student clubs/organizations (including sororities and fraternities) receive the Graphics Center's services FREE OF CHARGE. Pricing is as follows for those who do not fall into those categories: - $20/hr Graduate Student Organizations - $30/hr Academic Departments, Student Life Departments, USF Colleges, etc.
  • How do I work at the Graphics Center?
Our office consists of 5-7 designers depending on the semester, and we would love to have you join us! The Graphics Center is a great way to get experience of what it's like working at a real-life design firm with real-life clients. We will announce on our Instagram when positions are open, as well as post posters around campus. Keep an eye out and follow us for when opportunities arise!
  • What is the hiring process like?
Our application consists of a few basic questions and asks for 5-10 examples of your work and/or a link to your portfolio website. Depending on the semester, we may have more criteria on what we're looking for (example: underclassmen designers, upperclassmen designers, etc.) If selected, you will be contacted for an interview with our current manager and assistant manager.
  • Do I have to be a design major/minor to work at The Graphics Center?
The answer is no! We have had plenty of staff in our office who did not study design at USF. We do not show special preference for those in the Design program either; we prioritize candidates who bring something fresh to our team and exhibit unique skills/style. Anyone, regardless of their field of study, can work as a designer in our office.
